Is that what they refer to when peple say the cylinders are finger ported. They boostport the pistons to match the 2 ports on the intake side. I have seen that on some GPX's as well.

yes finger porting or boost porting is what it is referd to as ......i have seen it done quite a bigt.... some like it others say it is a waist ... i am torn i see the pros and cons of it i will stick to the Std porting methods seems to work for me

How'd you clean that up so nice? It looks like it's been bead blasted. Or is that fresh paint on the front member?

not a restoration for me just a clean up a restoration would be way way more detailed and all new parts and graphics and polished to a mirror

yes it has been blasted but repainted also sill yet to find the perfect match for the silver but it is very close

the srx has had a hard life since i restored it 6 years ago no more oval racing for this just straight line
 
well if things go right today it will be alive so here is the next installment

motor completly rebuilt to stock with rebuilt crank new pistons gaskets and seals .....fully rebuilt water pump and new belt. new clutch (got rid of that junk comet i hate theose cluthes on these sleds) carbs rebuilt and like new exhaust with fresh coat of paint

well aside from the windshield the sled is ready to be put away i recovered the seat today with a 6way stretch material that i have had used on other seats that is still holding up like new to here it is will post more pics tomorrow when i get it off the stand

well, got it on the ground today and took it for a spin in the grass .....for got how good the move stock ......well almost stock except for a primary spring change but runs and drives great and looks good too
