hey you have to give them credit I guess for purchasing American made product.Same as BRP which are made in Quebec,Canada..but I won't buy made in Canada sled..sorry...BUT them Doo and Cat guys take the cake..after all the problems them sleds have had over the years..people still buy the productsleddineinar said:I just had some Cat guy try to tell me how bad triples were... even pulled the, "I've got a friend who's a mechanic..." line out of the bag. I set him straight. Sorry, but of all the sledders out there, why are Cat riders the biggest douches?

You would be to if you were always riding scared that something will break or blow up, never knowing if you will be riding on your own or being towed.sleddineinar said:why are Cat riders the biggest douches?

I think part of that myth comes from the Doo Formula III's , but that was a problem with crank seals that lead to meltdowns. Then of course it was applied to all triples. In reality doo has also had problems w/crank seals on the 800's from the early 2000's. I think they've finally got it straitened out now. The yamaha motors have a huge reliability advantage over the others brands. Just my $.02 Gil
Polaris also had bad cranks on their triples back in 97. I had one and rebuilt it 3 times before throwing in the towel. I will never go back even though I'm sure they are better now.

99 SRX 12,000miles, 02 viper 15,980 miles ! Any cats, doo's or poo's make it that far? I am sure a couple but you sure don't see many! Both SRX and Viper were ridden hard on the bar all the time! I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Yammy tripple!
