the trick is to order enough parts that shipping would not be an issue.I always order things at least once a year and have a list of things I need and spare parts to boot that are worth buying ahead of time..still beats the heck out of my local dealer prices....bushings..I have enough of each bushing to do both sleds usually..wouldn't order just one.You know you will need them sooner or later. If you are going to keep older sleds, you have to start saving up parts ahead of time.In the last few years I know what parts will be needed just from putting on the miles.Certain bolts, brackets, parts that may wear faster I always have extra sitting here.As the year goes and summer comes I make a list as I go thru things on the sleds..come fall time I place an order. If I am in a real rush for a part that is a must..I will go to my dealer..pay more..but it is here in a week.
Some of my spare parts include all bushings, skid bolts, clutch parts and bushings, rollers, weights, rivets, fuel pump,CDI,stator, servo motor, extra PV's,extra cables.extra hyfax, extra wheels, extra bearings, extra water pump gasket, extra o ring head gaskets, extra thermostat, extra rings, extra carb parts/jets/screws,extra gaskets, lots of extra belts, etc. It never ends. Some things I purchase when there is a sale also or a free shipping promo.I just want to be on top of things incase something happens and not wait weeks on end for a part.Sure if you order a $2.00 bolt,,your shipping could be deadly...but I also purchase parts used when I see them from guys on here and have more spare parts.Who said this sport was cheap...lol
