I'm looking to find out if a reverse off of an 02 Viper will work on a 98 MMAX 600 twin? Will it also work on a 2002 MMAX 700 triple? I dont want to spend the money and not have it work! Thanks
there are two reverse kits
viper and vmax
both are the same other than the chain/gears that are used.
viper uses hyvo chain and gears like the srx sleds 2000 and up
vmax uses silent chain 13link wide.
side note, 98/99 srx sleds use silent chain but when installing reverse, you need chain and gears as there is no reverse that uses the 15wide gears.
and yes, you can put reverse in a srx
either will fit any proaction sled sx/vmax/srx/sxr/viper/venture as long as your using all chain and gears the same.
Do not intermingle silent chain and hyvo
hyvo chain is distinguished by the curved top to the top and bottom of the link

Hey Neighbour, thanks for the SRX cover, fit Perfect. I'd be interested in entertaining what it would set me back to have ya install that reverse Kit ya had in the shop on my 99 SRX, just Ballpark, wouldn,t hold ya to it, but dang i'm tired of dragging that thing back off my truck already..Feel Free to PM an approx, or email me, whatever works..
