Hello, I have a 97 SX 700 and my tunnel is pretty bent up. A buddy of mine has a viper and looking at it I got to thinking. Can I take a viper tunnel and disconnect my tunnel where it meets the bulkhead under the tank and just swap them over? Also do you recommend putting rivets back in or is there a stronger solution? Thanks

Does anyone have any ideas on this, will any other tunnel fit? I am waiting to put it back together until I know if I am changing the tunnel over? Thanks
yes, they are the same stamping other than the holes in the footwells.
If you do it, it would be better to use the viper footwells also. They are flatter and make standing easier. If you don't have anything already, I have a couple viper chassis here I am around all weekend if you wanted to drive up and grab one. Have lots of other stuff you didn't even know you needed while your here.

I also have the rivets to do this as well.

does a viper tunnel rivet onto an srx bulk head?
yes it will. same frame other than muffler mount, front cast section, heat exchanger and an extra reinforcement for the torque limiter.
