grip warmer wiring

.............i got a set of bars for a vmax from the evilbay and the muppet PO cut the wires near the grips. l want to wire them up but the wires are not colour coded, is there any way to figure out which way they go or is it a trail and error deal?

On an older sled you run them in series, take one wire from one grip to the other grip, the extra wire on one side needs to go to ground and the extra wire on the other grip will need to go to power.
