ordered a new one on dec 1st,still didn't have it by the 21st,had bought one off ebay when it wasn't looking like i'd get the new one,had to get bushings and rollers, ended up buying the parts from 3 different companies.comets are good clutch's,problem is the company that now owns them are famous for buying up bankrupt comapny's just for the name and really not delivering on parts.they own the rights to comet, tecumseh and a few others, heard the quality control on the new ones isn't very good either.wish Aaen,or Wahl or some one else would of bought them instead.
they don't have everythingy201srx said:What year and model did the p-85 come on.my comet is in good shape just need to get the n-1 cams and blue spring Dennis Kirk has comet parts in stock.

still waiting on that from early dec!
most 80's and 90's sleds had the p-85,but you need to use the secondary clutch also, because they are a over drive clutch.
not trying to discourage you from the comet clutch, but i would stock up on some extra parts and not count on certified parts corp to deliver in a reasonable amount of time.one nice thing, you can use polaris and cat weights in your comet
Ok thanks alot guys for ur time you were a big help I'm sure the info I gathered from you two will be right on thanksYAMMIEGOD3:16 said:#207758A PURPLE OR 208228A YELLOW/GREEN.
