Hi all. I am new here. By the looks of it though this forum will give me very in depth answers to my questions. Thank you for that. I love my Vmax's and want to keep them going as long as I can.
I have a 1994 VMAX 500DX. On the secondary clutch it says that the spring sets in b-2 setting. Will it hurt anything if I put it in the a-2 setting. It runs fine there and cruises at about 25mph with out I have call it shifting back up to a higher rpm. If it doesn't hurt it like that is there any other adjustments that would need to change? Also I seen the suspension lift kits in the mod section can I install those on this sled.

are you talking about the drop brackets for the Vmax rear skid? If so, then yes, they work great.Vmaxcaddy said:

I see what you mean on the rim's at top end. Also it doesn't jump up and go when your cruising. It is better to me for just casually riding trails. I do like the looks with the rear end raised. Would the limit straps need to be adjusted? If so any suggestion on settings for front and back.

in the last picture it looks like about 1/2 the track that should be, isnt touching the ground, that cant help much in getting traction. are the skiis lifted? In the first picture the track seems to be sitting just nice.

It sat that way because the suspension hadn't settled, the sled hadn't moved in 10 years so things weren't entirely eager to move. I did have to up the preload on middle front shock, haven't had any issues with traction though but then again it's hard to tell because the studs in that track are just too big, and the track itself isn't in the best of shape. All that will be addressed shortly with a new track and probably a skid swap to either an XT or X-10 skid. With me on it the track flattens out nicely and I havent noticed any issues.Rustman said:
