Looking for some info.I installed apex handlebars on my 97 700 sx and since then I have no hand warmers thumb warmer or heated shield. I wired the apex hand warmers in parallel as too that is what ever post I read on here said. Just looking too see what some of you guys on here think. It was a long 120 mile ride this weekend without heated attachments.

I was just looking at this write-up http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=78800 might be of some help to you
Not sure where your heated shield is hooked up to but you may have one of the leads for the grips disconnected somewhere or worse a bad stator. You can check the rheostat dial as well.

Staggs65 I looked at that post too. And my shield is hooked up to the warmer wire from the key. I thought about the stator too but everything worked fine till I put the apex bars on. Guess ill get the ohm meter out and start doing some testing anybody know what the stator should ohm out and what color wires. Thanks
You may be missing a ground somewhere

Why don't you meter the grips (each one and they won't be more than 6 ohms EA) and then the loop you have. From the +ve to the ground lead(wire) side of that grip and down to the ground point.
From what I've seen they're in a series resistance circuit.
After all that then check if there is 12VAC at the powered input end of the loop to the grips and then to the end where ever that is. This is what you should have done IMO first.
