Lakeracing....out of style??

All good points, but I think "alswagg" hit it on the head, these newer sleds just aren't designed for flat out lake racing. It would be kind of embarrassing to spend 10/12 grand and have a 15 year old sled next to you up to say 100 mph, and then start walking away! That thought makes me smile. ;)! :D
(Edit) I'm not saying srx's are unbeatable, there is always going to be a faster sled, even new ones, you know what I mean.

Anybody notice this or is it just me. We use to hit a lake and there would be at least a couple sleds waiting for some action. Nowadays nothing, just spent 4 days over New Years weekend up at Lake Gogebic in the U.P. and nobody wanted to play. Have been going to Lake Winnebago for the last 4 years and only a couple races in that time. Anybody else notice this or is it me? Maybe nobody dials in their sleds anymore, maybe these new sleds just don't have the top end, I don't get it. Sorry, I'm just venting. Still waiting for more snow.

Give me dingle if you're up near Rice Lake Ontario. We'll give you a days
worth of runs. 28 Miles worth. A lot of 800Xcr's Mach Z's looking to pick a friendly fight. Couple of Srx's too ;)!

Disagree: If you're trying to run against an APEX...

My good friend has an 06 Apex and we swap wins till about 100-105 then I'll start pulling. His sled is stock except we played with gearing both up and down, same results.
