Friday A few freinds and I are heading to Souix Narrows for some double cheese burger platters then heading home....approx 220miles return. As always my SRX is at least 8 years older then the other sleds and one of the few 2 strokes.
Need Yamaha to build somethig that will entice me off this SRX...a tough challenge!

Went on our ride on Fri...-29C when we left!!!...only myself and a freind with a 2012 ETECH 800 Renegade showed up...too cold for the other guys.

The riding conditions were excellant, hard packed almost ice trail with light snow covering and temps warmed up to -20C by mid afternoon.

If anyone is interested on fuel mileage figures...here they are.

2002 SRX 144", long travel, Aaen piped

15 miles to the imperial gallon /12.5 miles to the US gallon

2012 Renegade 800 ETECH bone stock, just broken - in

18.2 miles to the imperial gallon/ 15 miles to the US gallon

Both sleds rode side by side all day and quite aggressively with numerous wide open lake crossings

We both went @ 140 miles with out a fuel stop.

Real fun day!

Bob

I am waiting for a Demo Ride on Feb 16 to get my riding in..Sleds will be free and gas will be free and I don't care about gas mileage...lol

Bob can you believe that we still don't have rideable snow here...here in the Flood Plain. How many miles is it to your place..how long would it take to get there.Where are you exactly in NW Ontario..Maybe will come up 1 day in the future to ride with you...

I have been hauling my sleds north of winnipeg. Just enough snow to ride. There is more snow the further north you go. Heading out to the Whiteshell next weekend, lots of people riding out there and by Lac Du Bonnet. I have about 700khm put on this year so far..

Yes every time I head into Winnipeg I am amazed at how little snow you have...maybe you will get some today + tomoro

I am about 200 miles east of Winnipeg and we have about 6-8" on the ground. As you head norh of the Trans Canada highway the snow gets a little deeper but still only about 10-12" 100 miles to the north.

its trying to snow here but at the rate it has and is going..may have enough snow to ride by next November......:o|:o|#$%&*.Not wrecking the sleds in marginal crap..it is like riding on concrete...no cushion effect anywhere.I could go to the Pond in the back yard and do 500 hot laps until I break thru the ice and sink her..lol.I would basically be cutting up the ice slowly with the studs and then fall thru....:o|

Great ride today in the Ottawa area
Trails were good
The Srx ran great. Just have a little high idle issue to deal with

my sleds are nice and clean and even ready to sell that way....thinking of it...Can't have 2 sleds that sit all year round...would prefer to sell them and pu some old 70's Yami just to fool around once in a while..
