ran a fused line straight off the battery, grounded to chassis. installed flush sitting 12v outlet on small circular area next to speedo. looks stock. thanks for info, now just have to pick up RAM mount (or similar) for new garmin oregon 450t which i'll be getting the redpine maps for.
