Dear Mother Nature!!!

I hear ya Chris. I'm about to start setting the vipers back up for hibernation. I said to the fiance "well, I guess I'll go pull the batteries out of the Vipers and start prepping the TL." She said, "id say wait till March, winter is not over yet." I was blown away. She only got a small taste of trail riding and not to mention first taste of a Viper. Now I know I landed a good one.

Lots of snow in Ontario this year, still warm though so the lake aren't the best. Last weekend it snowed like crazy and we got about 2 ft over saturday and sunday. There is about 5 ft total now.

Yah right, what are you smoking? It was 9C yesterday here and I was out Belleville way several times and everywhere is the green green grass of home. I check the OFSC trail interactive maps and unless you're at or further than Algonquin park a few limited trails and 90% closed otherwise. I had about 4 inches one day mostly from wind drifting South of Belleville and got to run in on my yard and extended road way a bit where it drifted deep enough. but bare everywhere and the trails are lucky to achieve limited status for a few days and gone again.

I don't now where the Bluemachine is in Manitoba but people here don't believe me when I tell them you don't have snow either.

If you have 5ft show me the photo otherwise its a dream and you're still in that dream cruising without burning any gas. LOL

I'm talking up near haliburton which is on the southern tip of algonquin park. Trails have been open for about 3 weeks now. I will upload photos of the snow last weekend shortly.

The snow in these pics is just from overnight. Sorry about the small photos, I can't get photobucket to work right now.

that doesn't help me 1 bit...looks like wet snow..probably will melt fast also.We will be above normal temps here and Sunny for most part of Feb..so no snow and season will be done...wait..it has been done since last Nov....it never started...

definitley enough there to go riding tho. id be out burning every last snowflake off the ground if i were you. instead of hanging around this forum... those pics just reminded me of what snow looks like. lol

Well here in Markham we had about an inch or so but all gone by the next day. I talked to a friench North of Minden on Halls lake and he's been out once. Lakes are slushy and totally unfrozen and only good for ice water sled dipping (one time though). The trails are all closed up there with few open and few limited. Limited can be very hard on the machines on the rough terrain through the bush trails. http://www.ofsc.on.ca/trail-status.html (interactive map is down at this time but district 2 is the area or 6)

That may be enough to cruise around the truck but when compressed its a thin base.

Well it certain looks good. I haven't seen so much white in a long time. That still a good hike north of Halls Lake at about Haliburton latitude. By buddy on the lake said that the Haliburton fire dept drove one of their trucks on the lake to clear it for skating on the weekend, and went through the ice. The chief was driving. Stupid bugger is in the wrong business. Its all over the local new and the tax payer will be footing the bill. LOL Unbelieveable!!!

I believe that club is well north of Dorest somewhere or Hwy 69. The snow is non existant much further south and one reason I am not driving.
