idle question for zr i know its a cat but its for a friend

this is a question for a friend the sled needs to hillclimb tomorow it has a hooper big bore 155-160 psi compression when you rev it up it wont come back down it has new throttle cable seats needles the slides are closed but sled is still revving like throttle is stuck. it has 410 jets i think stock is 390 and suggestions would be great.
ps he thinks it will kill my srx 700 i just laugh.

Make sure the throttle cable is not too tight ...... ?
Air leak somewhere ?
Intake rubber boots ?
Pilot jet related problem ?

Lol shot in the dark.. I had the same issue on my srx till yesterday. Try turning the idle screw down a few hundred or so rpm

thanks for the info the air skrews are 1 1/4 turn out and he check for air leaks found none. a 17 old girl hillclimbs the sled so hopefuly it will be done we finished 5th last time with 1 run so hope she will get it done this time

turn out air screw 2 -2-1/2 turns check that... cats will die without air...lol
