Ok I Am Stupid But What Is Tors???

i have a 2000 sxr500 and i have no clue what TORS is? dose my sled even have it? if it dose how do i check?

do a search on it..don't know if yours has it.Are there 2 wires that plug into a couple wires on your carbs??It is a throttle overide system.Protects you when your throttle sticks or freezes up open position.Cuts the rpm down in order that your clutches shouldn't engage anymore..a safety feature..

ok i will look is there a way to check with the trottle to make shore it was working?

there's a test you can do to see if it is working on your sled.Where your throttle lever pivots you will notice when you press on the flipper..that pivot point moves back normally.Now take your fingers and hold that pivot point so it can't move back and then press the flipper..motor should start cutting back..I haven't done it for years..so maybe will check mine to.

i just did it today and it worked!! THATS GOOD! i also put on .01 miles on in my yard!

Great systom that works fine if adjusted properly.Problems that a few members have found would be fixed if the throttle cable was left with some slack in it when the handle bars cranked hard one way and the idle screw set first to were you want it.
