Yamaha "special model" release on the 9th


I know what I WANT it to be, a Phazer with more power and a longer track or a Nytro that comes with a turbo, or a snowbike.

I'm guessing a newer chassis for the Apex though.
 
hope not. not a fan of the apex. would like a nytro with 180hp to piss of the 1100 turbo guys

Lots of them are pissed off now, I guess they have some issues.
 
My request is just for horsepower in a mountain chassis. The 120hp Nytro just doesn't do it for my, that's why I have it's big brother instead.
 
they have to build a lighter good looking chasis not a 900 pound apex thats what it would weigh if they keep adding weight.a saw a dyno sheet on the production apex 151 hp and over six hundred pounds they have to start making lighter better looking chasis.my 2005 rx1 is lighter then the apex the only issue is the front a arm is junk

snowtrax dynod a stock nytro at 140hp so idk where yamaha gets there hp numbers from
 
Well if history is any indication the sled will be too heavy,under powered and over priced.
That being said I would LOVE to see them brimg back the SRX name with a DI 2 stroke to kick the heck out of the other brands top speed demons.I know it isn't all about top speed but when you've rode an SRX for 13 years it kind of gets in your blood. :2strokes:
 
I think the new sleds are nothing of underpowered. rode an 800r last year with the rmotion under it, felt similar to the apex in terms of power, but not anything in the way of tq. the apex is just super smooth and hits STRONG. for me as a trail rider, it nails it. and the vector would probably be more than enough on the trails with the FI now.
 
local dealer was talkin about the new release last week to me, they dont know what it is either but said that it wasnt suppose to be anything special, not a performance sled or anything like that. we will see soon though
 
An new snoscoot would be pretty cool, used ones are way too expensive.

The new one would be also. Have you seen what an Apex sells for?

Does anyone thing they will release a new platform/model or will they just tweak what they offer now?
