Running a 2001 SX700R. Stock gearing is 22/39. Looking into going with 22/40 as recommended by Turk's trail performance setup. Just wondering if I'll need a new chain as well or if I can just drop in a new lower gear and go?
Thanks all!
Thanks all!
I believe that if you have a 70 link chain you should be good to go. But, if you have a 68 link chain I think that you need to purchase a 70 link chain. I guess it just depends what chain you already have in the sled.
According to the tech pages if you still have the 01 sxr 700 you should have a 70 link chain if its still stock.

Yup, all stock. So hopefully it's just drop and go... Thanks Viper!
