Hey guys just picked up a 1997 700sx for $800 and had to fix the choke (the rod was siezed in the carbs) and was checking out the rest of the sled a little more and seen the shock for the undercarrage was rubbing on the track. Any ideas why or how to fix? My buddies suggested idle wheels were worn? Any help would be appreciated. Thx. Here is a pic of it:

The track is close to that shock mount from factory. If the track was studded or had a studded track at one time the studs could slap that bracket. Those idler wheels should be a 7" diameter I believe
That's normal, it's really close in there. I think someone made a kit that put a bearing/wheel on each side with a longer bolt.

thx everyone, at least I know that it's not b/c something is broke, just a very tight design for an undercarrage.
