Well my 1000 fixer upper isnt perfect but she is making noise again. Love that sound. Hood is the only thing im not happy with. Color didnt match up as nice as i would like. But good enough for now.Wife says I need to quit farting around with sled and get her honey doo list done. She probably right. Seems like all I been doing is wrenchin. But what else is there to do. Anyway dude around here treated me great on all the parts I needed. Have a srx hood he sold me for a bargain. Tryin to decide wether to paint black and put that on or just redo this hole hood. What you guys think.
 
Nice looking sled and nice job with the seat riser.
The SRX hood will not line up with the SX/Vmax belly pan, the contour is different. You may be able to install SRX belly pans, 98's were black, all others were blue.
 
you sure about that. I had it on there half assed and seem to fit ok. Hmmm. You have purked my curiosity i might have to drag out of attic and put on correctly to see. If it dont fit i guess i will just sell it
 
Thanks for info 4 stroke. Knew i should look at craigslist more often. The SRX hood is in good condition. Its very dirty but all decals are on it no cracks. The vent screen in nose of it is bent and is missing one rubber latch ( I needed one of them). If you want could send you a pic. pm me your phone or email.
 
There is a guy who has a new in the box hood with all of the stickers never applied on ebay (in Grand Haven Michigan) He had it there for $150 and nobody bid on it. It's currently on it's second time around and still no opening bid. Might want to check it out and shoot him a message. Might get it cheap. If I can help with the shipping I would be willing to pick it up and throw it on a greyhound for a fellow TY'er. It saves alot on shipping. I'll try to find the link for you. Gil
 
I just checked and the auction ended w/o a bid so he may still have it. His ebay store is Shoreline_PWC_Salvage. He had it listed as pick up only, but like I said if you worked out the purchase I could pick it up and put it on a bus to help you out. Thanks gil ill pm you my email. man to many options now. The link 4 stroke smoke sent got me thinkin to. Kinda like them black hoods on craigs list. Hmmmm decisions decisions
