hey guys i have a '99 srx600, pulls real good to about 80 then it seems to just creep up to about 100ish and doesnt want to go faster, was told it has a hauck clutch kit when i bought it, RPMs are at 8150 and slowly creep up to 8300, shouldnt i thave more on top end? http://youtu.be/9GcGb5iS79U sorry for the glare :dunno:

that isn't to bad.My SRX 700 makes it to about 100/105 maybe..you are doing good..Yesterday only got to 97 on speedo on a warm day..temps and snow conditions change everything.

Was that real GPS speed or the Dreamometer, lol.Just curious, these are off quite a bit at almost all speeds, check guages,6 inches of crappy snow on river, bumpier then Hell, hard time hangin on,lol.
105MPH Speedo (8500 RPM)
97 MPH actual GPS

PS. check the partridge along the trail as i whizzed by at 79 mph, lol, i thought it was a rock till i checked the vid at home later...

on ice is one thing,2 inches of snow is another with the SRX.But man my sled is ruuning strong this am..8bu-10's seemed to be cialed in close. Will take it to the River.Nice and cold this am also which helps.

I am running the same speeds on my SRX today with 2 to 3 inches of snow on the ice..no traction really at launch.Basically the SRX is running great,no over heating, never DCS and good mid range.Gonna long travel it next season. My back hurst from hitting a few bad bumps at 105..crazy trying to hang on at that speed which is fast enough.

sleds are all getting old and and so are we.I am a little bit heavier to..so probably loose speed just from that.I am not racing anyone..so getting to 100 quick and in the corners jumping the throttle and just pull away feels great.Think I will be leaving the clutching stock for now..felt good today.Spending all that money to get a few more mph is just not worth it for me any more.Just riding a reliable sled is fun and knowing it will take you home is even better.I ride alot by myself for long miles and don't even think in the back of my mind I won't make it back.Yamaha has always been good to me that way.If I rode a Cat by myself..I would be a little worried..mind you a lot of Cats out this way..Cats should help Cats ..right...lol. Two Doos past me today and man does their 2 stroke oil ever stink....of course those guys never wave...

I noticed the doo oil stinking today also! You'd think with the newer ones being all emissions compliant and all that they'd stink less!?

power valve issue's maybe..check all bearings,is ski toe out set right and are your wot rpm's on target..other wise should be good to 100 at least depending on temps and condition out.

after 80 mph i cant pull away from my brothers 98 zr600, any ideas?

I think you have 1 stud too many LOL!!!! ;)!

Jk I would look at you springs they could be sagged out or just the wrong clutching altogether

i changed my secondary wrap to 60 and then did some runs and checked my 0-60 and 0-90 and 0-100 times today and they were 0-60 in 4.1 secs......0-90 in 7.2 secs and 0-100 in 11.9 secs, what do you guys think? this was on a lake with about 1.5" of fluffy powder on top of the ice

Give turks(r.i.p) clutch set up in the tech pages a try. stock springs and wieghts. 4.5g rivets in both holes and a 53/43 helix. relatively inexpensive to try. I run this in my 600 runs to 8500rpm on the nose and pulls hard through out. cant give you a deffinet top speed ive only ran one real long lake pull. lake was snow covered at the time so speeds were down. did see 100 on the dream o. Im sure there was more left if conditions were better. It was enough to outrun an 800xcr and an F7 so i was pumped ;)!
