Has anyone changed the rivets from the stock 3.6 to the 4.5 inner 3.1 outer listed in the tech section and not changed anything else?

for WHAT sled>>>need a model and engine size.Everyone has basically made these changes at least once.EXAMPLE: My sxr600 from factory over revs to about 9000.Stock rivets are 2.4 tip and 3.6 inner. Now I removed them and put 4.5 inner and 3.6 in tip and she revs dead on 8500.Was in the deep snow the other day and hand her pinned to the bar..rpms were 8500 dead on...

we also need to know your launch and wot rpm's to be able to help you make changes. So your stock set up ????
I just checked the tech pages and your stock rivets would be 3.6 g rivets both holes.

Correct, I am wondering if anyone has made the rivet change but not do the helix as listed in the tech section?

every sled does not react the same to same changes. If TURK was here,he would ask you firstly what your rpms are or he couldn't help you tune it..What your track size is,your gearing..all makes a difference...If it over revs, then increase your rivet sizes and test..test..test..

Would it be possible to make led rivets (need heavy stuff)?
Or is led to soft?

lead wil work fine, small bolts, washers and nuts are pretty convenient as well.

I have even taken a bolt that will fit thru the weight opening, one with a thin head, cut it to certain length and weight it to what I needed.I slowly took it to a grinder and slowly took off material on the threaded end, once it was what I needed..place thru the hole in weight and peen the end down like a standard rivet..
