Oh well ,was going to buy more gas for the sleds but the prices spiked today. You just can't win this season.Lack of snow to begin with and when we get some snow to ride the price of gas goes up.To buy Premium here now is $6.03 a gallon.$60 a tank to ride now..that is border line how much I will spend for 3 to 4 hours of riding..insane.These oil companies just don't make enough profits I guess.Prices are suppose to go up 50% by summer..going from around $100 a barrel to $150 for crude.I guess the economies will suffer again which is predicted and more jobs gone..I just can't believe the world in which we live in today..Big Corporation's bleeding us dry....:o|

Yes Damn it!!
I can't wait to fill up the sleds tomorrow morning
I'm sure ultra 94 will be over $1.40/L

In Vancouver today it was $1.414 a liter..we arew way cheaper in Manitoba and price slowly increase into Ontario..sky rockets into Quebec and the East Coast...You may be at around $1.30 and up...

Thats why this world economy theory blows. Plenty of oil in ur country our country and the countries that do supply the states. Price should be based on our demand not china's and everything else going on like Iran. Those little stockmarket geeks dont help either driving up the prices because of speculation. Dont know what its going to take to end it all.

We're up to $1.29/L today (regular). Some excuse about a refinery in the US shutting down service etc. Like they never went offline before. We have refineries in Canada and I doubt our gas even comes across the boarder. The last time there was a huge issue was when the Esso refinery had some major problem and many stations including Canadian Tire used their gas has supply problems. I just an excuse to raise prices as is the Iran crisis. The jack the cost to us in a day and it takes weeks if ever to go back down when oil by the barrel drops way down. But never goes as far back as it did either. If only there was a way out for use but alternatives as few.

Alberta supplies enough oil for us and for the USA to use also. The price should be like $50 a barrel here..why are we sucked in with the OPEC nations. We have N American oil here, made here and not shipped to the other side of the planet..why are we not only paying like $1 or 2 for a gallon..what gives here anyways..damn politics makes me sick already.Us humans are all guinea pigs for them.Saudi's have Gold Plated Palaces..etc..we have to give them more yet because they just want it...what about us the people ,we made them so rich..I sure wish there was a way to just shut the oil flow in the world and go to another source ..something is not right here at all.Aren't we supposed to take care of one another on this planet..GREED has set in pretty deep now and they love it..

I talked to a truck driver that hauled down to the US to get refined and it is brought back up here and we pay more...WOW!! That makes sense doesn't it...this guy told me this years back..I couldn't believe it myself..not sure how it works today..we do have our own refineries ..HOLY CRAP!!!

This i just have to comment.

I almost die every time i see the complaining on gas prices over there in the us.. here in Norway we now have 2.86$ for 1 liter of gas. that is not even premium. that will be about 11,44$ for a gallon. and here i sit in a rich oil nation that just discovered one of, if not the biggest oil field ever discovered in norwegian history and we still have these gas prices..

i rest my case :)

Fortunately i have a freind or two that work at the local gas station. Got a call yesterday AM that prices at their station hiking 20 cent shortly and supposed to again in the next couple days. Filled the 3 chevy trucks the girlfreinds jeep with reg @ 3.49 and just under 100 to fill the 5 cans I got with premium! Since then everything has went up 30 cents a gallon!

yep you guys still have cheap gas in the US...wish ours was like that, then I would be riding every day.We are at $5.35 a gallon regular here now.I wouldn't be even looking at sledding if gas was $11.00,not even driving a vehicle..walking or a bicycle would do.Unfortunately we will be seeing them prices that high here eventually...back to a one vehicle in the family .I already have seen on CNN how gas thieves are stealing gas in the USA now,They slide a pail under usually an SUV and take a drill and drill thru the gas tank.I can see an explosion coming soon as when they got their gas and leave, gas keeping spilling on the ground. If someone toss's a cigarette or match..KABOOM!!

Why are you guys paying that much??Is it because you have no refineries there and it has to be refined else where and shipped back. How do people carry on with their daily lives??Everyone has to be making like $200,000 plus a year in wages then.I know I guy I used to work with back in early 2001 told me in his native Country of Portugal it was close to $10 a gallon Canadian.Maybe this is part of why Europe is collapsing economically now, cost of living is to high and Governments are all broke.

I work up in northern alberta in the oil sands and can't believe that we cannot supply our own country with cheaper fuel prices. Suncor energy wants to be producing 1 million barrels of oil a DAY by 2020! And thats just up here around Ft.Mac. Its going to be booming up here this year and ones to come(maybe). Most of the oil from up here goes to the states and some goes to edmonton and sarnia, for upgrading. There is an upgrader going up here in Ft.Mac thats only $22billion. All the sites up here are ramping up and Alberta alone by 2015 is going to need 75,000 workers. Last time oil went up that high you know what happened, and up here they will shut down any job any day with the drop of a hat. I've seen it, seeing i was at the upgrader when the recession hit. The way they run the shit shows up here you would see why prices are so high. I believe we should have cheap gas prices when were sitting on the worlds largest reserve, and have yet to head into saskatchewan and tap into there reserves. Potash is booming there for now.

with that much oil being produced here in Canada..all us Canadians should all be getting gas for free just from us paying our income tax's.Then anything left over should be priced HIGH to be shipped out of the Country and that's where they can make there profit.Wouldn't that be a perfect World. But GREED will dictate as usual. Each Country out there should supply their own Country first and what is left over can be sold to other Countries that don't have enough..but for a Premium price because of all the costs in place to extract it.I don't get why we are paying so much for gas here when we have abundance of it..GREED !!! The world is screwed..

Yamasquaw..where are they suppose to put these 75,000 workers to live.Ft Mac already can't handle the population there for years already..30 story apartment complex's would work..wow there is going to be a need for builders and tons of other trades needed also.I know of people that have made a killing in wages from there beyond their wildest dreams and young yet.One guy in particular came back here to live finally because his girlfriend was here and she doesn't want to leave. He was in his 30's and had his own crew of guys up their..basically can retire now..some people are just so lucky...
