i recieved 2 base gaskets in my package and the package was stapled shut. should 2 gaskets go on or just one for a stock setup.

The 2 gaskets were kind of locked together so i was not sure but finally got them apart to coat with copper spray but i did not think it took 2 of them. So to be clear i should just have one piece of metal gasket and not 2 correct?
