Agreed!! It looks just like the Arctic Cat Z120 but painted blue! To bad they had to ruin the SRX name and put it on this little piece of crap!!edunn69 said:3 years of selling them Yamaha engines and in return we get a blue SRX hood on their 120.

Check out http://www.recmotor.com/ , My kids baby ditch pickle runs 33mph now. I could have painted the hood blue and made some real nice looking SRX graphics, but i'm sure kids will love it the way Yamaha did it.bluemonster1 said:that would make it to heavy then...try for 10 mph with some clutching maybe..
...and yes it's a blue ZR-120.

It is all about the bottom line,,nothing else..
of course, thats why every business is around, to make money.
Found this online.
If the SRX 120 seems a bit familiar, it should. The product is a joint effort between Yamaha the engine supplier and Arctic Cat the chassis supplier. Since Yamaha was supplying Cat with the 123cc engines, why not sell more of the 120cc singles by offering a youth sled under the Yamaha banner? We imagine you’ll see a good number of these Yamaha-blue sleds in driveways and backyards next season

A couple years back I seen the zr 120 in Newberry MI. When I mentioned it had a yamaha motor no one on here seemed to believe me and my post went by the way side glad to see you were able to find that info.

After owning and racing every generation of Yamaha SRXs, and still trail riding a massaged 02, I take this as a complete insult and desecration of a great legend...embarassing to say the least! Ski Doos are looking better every day.

yes Bob that is true...what a joke really..but it is a marketing scam to lure the youngsters in and later they will spend the big bucks for the big heavy 4 strokes....in the video the Yamaha rep said he won't make a sales pitch, just father to son fun..but they are using this as a step up to the nest sled..A 4 stroke Yamaha...will it work..not as long as the competition keeps dropping the weight and make more better riding sleds and keeping 2 strokes in their line up is a bonus for a lot of guys..

I have been about as loyal a Yamaha rider/racer as a person can be for decades. [I still own 5 of them] I ride 3000+ miles a year, every year, with approx 8 riders that are similar to me.
In our group we have a Yama charged Apex XTX , trail modded Nitro XTX, my 2002 SRX that has been long traveled, stretched ported, clutched, boss seat ect to keep up and with the group, and every other sled we ride with is a Skidoo Renegade 800 ETECH. The Ski Doo riders have all switched from other brands.
We just did a 400 mile ride yesterday and 150 miles today. Over a beverage after todays ride, this evening, we all were talking our next sled and everyone with the Yamahas all say if buying a new sled it would be an Etech.
I am resisting ONLY because I hate having the same ride as everyone else....my 2002 SRX has been developed/updated as far as it can go...money is not the reason I am not buying a new sled yet!
I say again....YAMAHA ARE YOU LISTENING!
I am almost out of here!

Haven't seen that in our group yet since the 1000 machs, but common sense tells me that may be a problem down the road, as they are very stingy with their oil.

My thoughts are is because of your post people at Yamaha looked into providing a product due to the suggestions that were made here... Plus there was alot of belly aching "Hey yamaha why no 120 sled"... Now they can compete in the 120 class too...MBllnr said:A couple years back I seen the zr 120 in Newberry MI. yeah I find it funny. last fall you had the why no 120 yamaha thread. now they have one and it's all belly-aching that it has an SRX decal and this is no SRX. it's for little kids that want a sled like dads. whats the big deal. sorry, I just dont see an issue. my son would love to have a sled like dad's, even if it really isn't.
