I have put over 11,500 miles on my '99 SX 600 and now it is time to put the ol' girl out to pasture. I am looking to upgrade to a 2008 or newer used sled and would like some input from you guys on what sled you think would be best for me -- I like to ride the tight, twisty trails of upper WI and MI pretty aggresively. I am getting a little older and the bones ache a little more after riding so I would also like something that has a decent suspension that won't beat me up.

I have been looking online at Nytro's, Apex's and Vector's. What are the pro's and con's of each of these sleds for the way I ride and the suspsensions they have?

Thanks for you input!

nytro (08+) is the rider forward sled. it is not a sit back and cruise sled as it likes more rider input and loves to be ridden more agressively.

apex and vectors have pretty much the same seating position whitch is rider forward when you want and laid back trail cruising at need. the mono on each can be set to ride pretty well. i would reccomend the ltx models as the 136 bridges the bumps better. the vector will get better fuel milage than the apex but nothing sounds like an apex at full howl.

I have a 07 Attak(136) and a 08 Vector(121). Both are the same Delta II chassis. The Vector has good torque, smooth and quiet. The Attak has more power, rides well and has a big "fun factor" on WOT runs accross the lakes. My Vector does slightly better mileage than the Attak. I think they are both great trail machines when equiped with Snowtrackers, HID's and YamahaHeaters. Comfortable to drive with decent wind protection and seating position. Drove a 09 Nytro for 10 miles. Was glad to get back on my Attak. I'm not much for jumping or pounding new trails into the bush so the Delta II chassis is good enough for me.
Talked with a guy on the trails with a 2012 Nytro XTX. He said he had an Attak before the Nytro. He absolutely loves his Nytro. Said the Nytro felt lighter, was getting superb gas mileage and rails in the corners.

I went from a 97 Mtn Max 600 to a 2010 Nytro XTX and LOVE it. I ride aggresive in the twisty trail and love to go off trail also but I also love to sit back and just ride sometimes and the Nytro XTX fits me just right.

Thanks for the input guys.

I did some reading before I put this post up and found that the 07 and 08 Nytro's may have some bulk head issues and need more steering input than the 09 and newer models. Do you guys know anything about these issues?

I have ridden an apex and my dad has a vector. his vector is an 05, so all I would comment on is the motor. with that being said, its a fantastic trail sled. and in the deltabox II, it should really be great. the apex has an amazing motor, but really is a lot more than you need 95% of the time. and on tight twisty trails, you would be getting less mpg for the power you can not use. either one is great though. never ridden a nytro, but I dont think it is what you would be looking for
