Ive got access to a 2000 mxz 700 for suspension swap. Its going into my 95 vmax 600. I can also have the brand new 1.5" ripsaw track which is studded. Does the vmax have enough clearance for this track?

If I remember correctly even with 7tooth drive gears you can only get 1.25" under there. stock track is .875" and I know you can get a 1" lug in there but pretty sure 1.25" will hit the front heat exchanger.

96 Vmax 600

Figured I'd rather dig for something that is an oldie rather than repost the same question.

I've contacted Yamaha dealers, and track suppliers, none can confirm what the largest is that i can go with for this generation vmax. Is it really at 1 inch? Where should I be measuring for clearance? Can someone please provide detailed instructions or pictures? I've never had to do a track on a sled before, and I am completely clueless in regards to what to do at this point.

What I want: new track with the ability to stud it without having to do any modifications to the tunnel or the rest of the sled. One source tells me only the stocker (.748" lug) with studs, another tells me I could with 1.25", and then another tells me you can't do it at all. Lost and don't know where else to look for info.

Thank you!

*Final edit- Come to find out, there is not enough clearance to even put in a 1" track.
