02 Viper Speedo cluster blinking

Last week started sled up and the speedo, tach and gas gauge started blinking on and off, as the tach needle will go thru a sweep and red ! light comes on for a second just like when the sled used to start. Something else that started at the same time the battery seemed to be completley flat after working just great a week before. Checked cables to battery and all seemed fine and wires from belly pan to the guage cluster have no breaks in them that I can find. As far as I can tell the head lights have no issues, working just fine. Do you have any other areas I can check? starting to really scratch my head on this one. Thanks
 
you have a loose connection somewhere. If thats a viper er the tach and everything with not work right unless the battery is hooked up. Its either a bad battery or loose conection somewhere. Check the ground on the engine block. My dad's vmax ground wire broke off this year. Its just a thought. Good luck!!
