Can you remember what you paid back in 80?? my guess is 2800-3000

Bought a new Exciter in 80. The dealer had one left and 1 80 SRX left.

Paid $1800 for the Exciter. He wanted $2800 for the SRX.

I don't remember what the dealership was called back then. The guys name is Dennis Cole. 1980 was his last year as a Yamaha dealer. He is still in town and owns/runs a company called Inland Dredge. They build custom weed harvesting equipment. RC Yamaha opened up in town a year or two later. Rich Colono got out in the early 90's and now owns/runs RIVCO. A company that makes aftermarket motorcycle parts. Rich has always been bigger into bikes than sleds.

Old reliable Recreation Plus in Twin Lakes near the IL state line is still going strong. He's been a Yamaha dealer since the early 70's. Bob (the owner) is the man. Great people.
