They make a windowless speed track for weight reasons. You can also stud the closed windows buthave to move the tunnel protectors and heat exchanger protectors.
this one had open windows. It was almost like he took the clips off or something? not sure?

HEY SRX700GUY, ARE YOU RUNNING AT BACK YARD EVENTS , OR HEYDAYS/ PRO CIRCURIT, OR CLUB EVENTS ? I MEAN YOU MIGHT WANT TO SEE IF THESE PLACES USE ISR RULES. YOU CAN TAKE ALOT OF SET-UPS AND THATS FINE, BUT TO TAKE A COMPLETELY STOCK SRX TO A BIG RACE TODAY, ITS A TUFF NUT. NO MATTER WHAT SET-UP YOU USE. I RUN A ISR STOCK 2000 SRX, SLEDS ARE FASTER THAN EVER. AND KNOW I DID NOT HARASS YOU ON THE KART, MY POINT WAS GET ONE BUILT FOR ALL THE TESTING YOU WILL NEED TO DO. SO NO RYAN I DID NOT HARASS ANYBODY. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I'm not planning on running at Haydays!! I know better than that! LOL I don't know what type of competition is at some of the smaller events around here. I just want to do it for fun (and possibly be competitive). Like I said last winter sucked arse around here and I never even had the sled out so right now I really got the itch bad to run it. I know I will need a cooldown cart.

For the skiis-never let them touch the ground. lol
Seriously thou you want the suspension set-up as mentioned.
From what I have read when you sit on the sled someone should be able
to lift the front end rather easily. Under power the skiis have very little pressure. Someone with experience can elaborate.

I would be figuring out where and when and what the rules are. At certain events certain mods and they will bump you to an open mod class....Bring on the super chargers and Nos and your spanked before you even leave the pits. I never have run the grass/sand drags, I have watched a few and a few off my buddys are hardcore grass draggs and then dont ride in the winter...go figure! My buddy tyler had his brandnew F7 back to the cat dealer for "waranty" work before it even snowed...seems the front suspension was defective! Might be further ahead to pick up a 500-600 fan sled and KICK THE SNOT OUT OF IT!

Yeah I was thinking that about the rules but really the only thing that won't be stock is my track. I would think that setting up the suspension should be legal in even a trail stock class. It is still considered a stock sled in all the Ice runs that I have been to even with the speed track except at the NSSR events then you get bumped from a trail stock to a stock class.

Around here (for the most part) trail stock allows carbide tipped 60* trail sluds, clutching, gearing and jetting. That's it.

Height alterations, speed/shaved tracks and chissels put you into stock. Many other things are allowed in stock that can't be done in trail stock. Drag skids, long tracks, clutches, billet wheels, lightening etc. Real close to improved with the exception of pipes and engine mods. Trail stock and stock must run stock pipes which limits what can be done to the engine.

It starts gettin tough when the chissels and traction goodies are allowed. If you drop it and add chissels be prepared to run stock or be prepared to get beat. Guys that setup for stock and take it to the limit will be hard to catch if they show up.

Tony helped me setup my 92 750 trail sled for stock. I did very well. Made the finals in stock and improved for a 3rd and 4th. Sent some stout sleds to the trailer early but was out classed by the guys who take it to the limit. To have a chance against them would mean taking my sled off the trail and relegating it to drags only.

I had a ball and will go again but I have seen what the differance is. A good trail stock sled with just a suspension drop, speed track and chissels will have it's hands full in stock if the rodeo pro's show up.

WHY I POSTED TO YOU ABOUT FINDING OUT IF AND WHAT RULES THEY USE WHERE YOUR RACING. WHAT YOU POSTED HERE WON,T PUT YOU IN TRAIL STOCK STARTING WITH A SPEED TRACK. YOU MIGHT BE BETTER OF WITH THE STOCK TRACK WITH SUSPENSION SET-UP WITH WOODYS MEGA BITES. WHY YOU WERE TOLD TO JUMP RIGHT INTO A SPEED TRACK AND CHISELS IS SORTA FUNNY. ALSO WHY I POSTED TO GET A KART BUILT SOON SO YOU CAN TEST. but i guess i put the kart in front of the horse LMFAO. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I was just gonna use my speed track cause it is what I use in the winter and is allowed in trail stock class around here for the most part in the winter. I'm not new to racing my sled just new to racing it on grass

Looks like the events I would go to are NSRA sanctioned events but I can't find any rules. does anybody knoe their rules?

ANYBODY EVER GIVE YA ANY CLUTCH SET-UPS. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I have a 500' setup for ice but no nothing for grass yet? Was going to try my 500' ice setup. Using 8bu00 weights. Is there a better clutch setup?

THATS ONE OF THOSE QUESTIONS, SURE THERE COULD BE SOMETHING BETTER. I MYSELF DON,T THINK SO. I LOVE 8BU-00. THATS WHAT I USE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Heelclickers would be the next best weight for grass drags

Your Ice setup will also be close to a grass setup still have to test though

I have some extra wheels ordered for the skid. How many wheels do you guys run in your grass skids?
