I have been working on my machine, getting case ported. I was checking out my reed spacers the other day. I have a question for the group. They appear to be a plastic, maybe nylon?. anyway they had gaskets that are soft, kinds like compressed felt. You know what I mean? I ordered new gaskets. Oem ad they appear to be metal with a plastic coating. The question is "are the OEM gaskets going to seal well against the plastic reed spacers?" My thoughts are that aluminum reed spacers would provide a torsionally stiffer, denser, stronger, and straighter surface. This being said the reed spacers that were on worked fine, but had aftermarket? gaskets that seem alot softer. Thoughts anyone?

I don't have experience withthisbecause my reed spacers are billet aluminum. BUT, I don't think you will run into any issues with the seal I would bolt everything together and start it up and listen for any hanging idle that would more than likely happen if the gaskets didn't end up sealing correctly.
