Over 13,000 miles on mine with Amsoil and Yamalube. I actually think I prefer the Yamalube over the Amsoil. It seems to burn a lot cleaner, but not sure which is better as far as wear protection. I did pistons and rings around 8,800 miles and everything looked good and clean, but ring end gap and skirt were out of spec.

Probably 12k on Yamalube on a modded red, still had cross hatching when we parted it out. Im against amsoil because it smells like burning butthole lol

My buddys 01 sxr 700 has 12,000+ miles on it. Freshened up @ 6k, complete rebuild @ 9k he has ben running the walmart brand since 9k. Says its as good or better than the amsoil he was running and its 10-12 bucks a GALLON!

2002 SX600R 19,008 miles, all stock, minus a couple of water pump seal kits. Yamalube for about the first 14,000 and now Citgo Sea and Snow.

cant comment on the oil, but a testament to the engine: I'm looking at a v-max deluxe right now with just under 25,000 miles.....$600. dont know why I havent pulled the trigger yet
