can some body post a pic of a diffrent skid in a older sled like my venture fan and tell me what you like about the skids performance, ,,like easy to install ,easy to maintain, bad experirence , would pick a diffrent one or would buy the same skid, some body has to have a story to tell. i cant deside what to buy a 121" or 136" thanks for your input
92 venture rear skid question

on older sleds, you can put what ever you want for a rear skid as long as you get all the mounting measurements from the donor sled from the centre of the drive axle. i would say get one from an sx series sled as most guys take them out for expert x's and they have 8" of travel like your stock skid. very easy to get rail extensions to go to 136 if you want to and it can be set to ride pretty well.
oh, and btw, make shure your tunnel has the reinforcements rivited in where the new skid needs them.

I put an x10 in my 90 Phazer II last year. The skid was only a 100 bucks and the swap was pretty easy. I pics of the finished product on a thread in here.

sleddineinar thank you ,buy the way you have a nice looking sled, thats the skid i got from a friend the but need some parts for it and the measurments from the shocks eye to eye on srv540 skid. it has two arms and a bar in the back that came from a ski doo i think its called an arc arm, correct me if im wrong

The stock 136 skid in my fathers 1996 enticer II is a pretty decent skid.New shocks really helped it alot but the biggest inprovement is to install grease fittings on all pivot points.Really makes it smoother.Worth the effort to install.Just keep watch for cracks on the front arm at the point between the rails.A small crack is still on ours even after it was welded.

I remember a friend of mine's younger brother installed a Bravo long track's rear suspension and track in a 79' Exciter 440 - he lived in Grand Marias, MI - so most of the time he needed the extra track with the powder up there!!!! it was a unique beast-pretty cool!!!!
