I am in the process of long tracking my 01 srx to 144. I have the rails and front H arm from a mountain viper. I have built the suspension using shocks and harware from a 121 viper suspension. The first attempt of mounting the suspension didnt go so well as it was to far forward in the tunnel. Attempt two the suspension is exactly where its susposed to be. Measurements from another ty member from a mtn viper. The suspension looks like its sitting flat and in the right spot, but i have no movement. Not even an inch. It looks to me like the rear sissor is binding. Is there a longer sissor for mtn skids? Any ideas. Ive just about had enough with the proaction, but i have to much invested to turn back.

Are you shure the rear arms are the same or same legnth in the rear between the 121 and 144?

The center to center on the rear sissor is 3 inches. I have the suspensions so it moves freely but as soon as i put the transfer rod on it will move about 2 inches and lock up solid. Are the transfer rods differnt lenght possibly?

compare yours to these, i havent ran t-rods for years but heres numbers from some of my leftovers:
lower half at about 5 3/4"
upper half at about 10 3/8"

seems like the lowers were all the same, uppers differed. i have several sets of uppers and lowers from mtn sleds.

Here is all the measurements of what i have currently, If anyone could verify these measurements with there sleds it would be very helpful.

I for got which year srx's have the longer transfer rods? They mount in diffrent spots on the rails too.

heres the measures I promised. I took these as best I could with the sled together.

driveshaft to first hole: 14 3/16
first hole to middle hole: 13 13/16
middle hole to rear hole: 15 3/4 (this was the hardest to get an accurate measure)

first hole down from inside top of tunnel: 6 5/16
middle hole " " " " " ": 5 7/8 (theres also another hole about 5/8 higher)
rear hole " " " " " ": 9 13/16 (theres also one 1 inch higher)

t- rods: 10 1/4, 6 1/4
control arms: 15 3/4
rear arm: 10 3/4
rear scissor: 3

rail tip to first h arm mount: 22 3/4
between h arm mounts: 3
rear h arm mount to scissor mount: 22 3/8
scissor mount to t-rod mount: 1 5/8 back and 1 inch up

I'd say most the discrepancies could just be from me measuring with the skid in place (although I tried as best I could to be accurate) the measures that really stand out to me are:
the down measure on your rear hole
the first (sliding part) t-rod measure
first to mid hole
rear arm
scissor
rear h arm to scissor

hope this helps

hmm. ok so im thinking that if i drop the Drop brackets another 3/4" it should correct that problem. my 7 1/4 measurement was to the top hole. But it looks as if there are shorter sissors as mine is 1/4 longer as well as my transfer rods being to long. I would be interested in your rods Jeff, but i would like to find some locally if possible as I dont plan to travel down that way for a while. Anyone know the length of ones from a srx or sx?

Just looking at my rear drop brackets now. Any chance you have the ability to snap a photo of them it doesn't appear like I can drop mine ny more and still use the factory bolts in the bracket it self

if you need a different angle or specific close up let me know. I'm just sitting in the garage drinking some cold ones and watching some football anyways.

Awesome you are the man Jeff I wonder how much a quarter of an inch on the rear scissor difference would make. Cause I'm sure mine is 3 1/4 ctc. My drop brackets are a little different as well
