those of you in the path of Hurricane Sandy

wind is gusting a little in vt raining the power has flickered a couple times but the light are in got the saw and 2 chains in the truck so i can make it to work in the am

Can't believe we didn't lose power. Although the tree crews had been busy within the last week. Waiting for sunrise right now so I can get outside and survey the damage. Heard a few pines go down in back of the house last night
but atleast I'm not looking at the stars through a hole in my roof. Gonna be calling my brother shortly to see how he made out. He lives about 1/2 hour north of NY City.
Hope everyone else made it through alright and is safe....

Lost power twice last night, winds were crankin for sure! power back around 02 am, winds down to normal, tropical feel outside this morning. All looks o.k. so far outside waiting for the sun to come up. Apex tucked in the garage with her blanky.... still waiting for snow! all good! ;)!

Never got hit bad no trees that I have seen are down! And still have school oh well, good to every one who were hit. I hope you get power back :jump:

I was stationed out in southern Maryland from 91 thru 94. I believe it was 92 when 'THE PERFECT STORM' hit the east coast. Didn't have power for an entire week. But then again, I lived on a road w/ lots of Amish familys. It sure looks like this one will rank right up there w/ the one in 92. Camping sections of stores were entirely desimated. You couldn't find so much as a hot dog fork, pie irons or any cast iron cookware in the stores. I did break out the fondue set we got for a wedding present though. My prayers go out to all.

about the same here, we made out pretty good.

glad there is no bad stories reported! This was a huge storm, wow!

I got my fill, and lucked out big compared to the tv footage tonight.

My brother is still without power. They're cooking on the gas grill & the house is cold... but at least they are all safe. He's a garbage truck driver and said the route is pretty complicated still with lots of debris.
