Hi, I am in need of some help. I am pulling my skid for the first time and want to know what is the best way to do it. Also how long should it take and what are some useful hints and tricks. Thanks. Oh almost forgot it a 2000 VMax

Lots of ways to do it. And the more you do it you will find your own tricks and short cuts. This is a good write up and place to start. First time i removed and replaced a skid was aweful. Now i can get it out in a flash and back in before my beer gets warm. Best tip i got was to use those plastic rollup sleds you used as a kid and lay them on the inside of the track to cover the drive lugs. I just finished mine. Not too bad at all. Another set of hands is always nice when pulling the skid out of the track, but it can be done alone with a little grunt force. The shafts that the 6 bolts thread into are aluminum so be careful not to strip the threads. Take your time. If you haven't read BTV's skid fix article, read it. Here it is. If you have any questions, ask em'.....
