thats correct. if you want the best bet when you put pipes on a viper these days with the lousy fuel and the mono stock head, i would just simply install a carb rack off a 2000-02 srx as it has richer needles and nozzles in them stock. i would however still bump the needle up slightly. its the mid rabge cruising that bites ya in the butt all the time on a viper, lots of timing to build lots of heat.

should I look into a SRX CDI? Is it plug-n-play? All years same?
Or safe enought with rear cooler, opticool gasket and rejetting?

I dont think you'd want a srx cdi running at 9k. the srx timing starts to drop off by then.

does anyone know the proper torque setting on and 02 viper for the opticool head?
i bought one which now has 23 miles on the new gasket and wanted to double check the setting before first ride?
