6 inches on the ground and saying more yet today and tomorrow. Couldn't resist getting the sled out. Had to fuel my addiction a little bit. I've cleaned 9 carbs this year so for, 6 more to go lol

Hopefully its coming your way Blue, we got over 6 inches since last night and its still coming down. With the base we had before it should be good riding out now.
Just heading out to the garage to go over the sleds and get them ready to fire up and have things ready to go riding tomorrow.

it has finally started up again, looking more white out.Seems the City got more then we did originally today, but it supposed get a little heavy tonight, maybe 4 inches they predict. Will have enough to just fart around the yard and maybe take to the ditch a bit.Still better then last season. There seems to be more snow down then we had all together to February 2011..time will tell if this winter will be anything.Talked to my mechanic buddy down the road and told him to get the sleds ready.Told me he sold all 3 of his sleds and trailer.Told me it was costing him way to much on sledding and the last few winters were crap didn't turn him on anymore. to just having the sleds sit more then be ridden and having to repair them also..etc..Said between him and his wife they were spending around $1100 a month to sled..includes gas, insurance.trail pass..etc..Said this will be it for him for sledding..he prefers spending his time and money now skiing in Whistler and the such..times change..people change. There are a ton of sleds for sale on kijiji again and dealers are still struggling with left over sleds from last season...

I still think there won't be much more in snow.Next week it will be hitting plus 7 C..it will all melt and the temps look like they will remain mild right thru December.Have a funny feeling about this Winter again....will the drought continue.. ahhhhhh! Lucky I put some 50 miles on the other day..that may be it..

here we go again. lol
Not enough to keeping riding around here. Put 20 miles on today. The snow we do have will make a good base when it warms up to about 35F this week. Then it better snow, snow, snow.

you have to admit, winters have not been the same in the past recent years compared to past..not even close.Whatever happened to those 3 to 4 day storm/blizzards..they don't exit anymore. If the Mayans are right..and we only have like 41 days and counting left to sled...lol... ..
Winter of 09-10 and 10-11 were extraordinary here. But I do agree they aren't what they used to be. I remember many, heck just 10 years ago, 3-4 day storms you talk about.
As far as the Mayans being right, I hope it's not true.

seems that after 09 it has gone downhill. We had that floodwatch back in 09 and after that the drought started up...never been the same since. We usually get your water from ND come this way..not much off late as you guys were in drought situation also.
Yup, and then the flood in July 2011, and only got half the crop seeded. But we got it all seeded this year and got lucky with the crops getting what we did as far as yield. Had early season rains and not a drop at all during harvest until the very very end with some rain and then eventually the snow.
I wont be able to ride until january if I am lucky...im hopeful foe a hard december so the trails will be good when they open in jan. I only put one mile on my sled last year...one!
