94 Vmax clutches on a 90 Exciter?

I've got a 94 Vmax 600 I'm parting out, and am wondering if these clutches will work on my 90 Exciter? My stock clucthes worked great a couple of years ago, but after not being used they need to be gone though. I thought I might as well swap to the wide belt setup if it's possible.
 
Cool.

They're set up for a Bender twin pipe setup I'm going to sell, so some tuning will be needed. Next will be swapping the carbs, struts and skid frame.

not to thread jack, but if they work on the 90 exciter, will they work on the 88?
 
Just did! I'm in. Looks like good stuff. I like the hydraulic brake mod. Somebody needs to post a template, and parts list to help others.

This site is a great idea to compile a database for others interested in modding their sleds in similar fashion. On Corvette Forum they make "stickies" in their FAQ, so that people can access it. This works just as well.

I just got home from the lake. Too warm for snow, but great for wrenching. Tore the front off the SRX for a BTV 44" wide kit w/Viper shocks. I'm hoping it makes as big a difference for me as the wide kit did on my Exciter. Carbs also are off for cleaning.

After that the Exciter gets the treatment. Preping the clucthes for installation. I think they"ll make a bigger performance impact than the flatsides. I'd like to change the front/rear suspensions too, but time, and money come into play.

Glad u liked it! The thought is to make an active group that can provide quick answers while your in the garage and gather alot of mod information that is easy to find.

Changing the front and rear susp was a good mod together with widekit, the sled handles much better now. But yes, it took alot of time and money to make it happen:) I´m looking forward to follow your work with the exciter. I think that the clutches will make a good upgrade. Please make an album in the fb thread in your name so i can follow the progress
 
I'll have to blow out the cobwebs to remeber all the little tricks we did to these sleds back in the day. We'd go to the snow shows with a camera, and dial calipers to copy the manufaturer's displays. That didn't make them happy!

Mine had a lot of the basics, porting, bored carbs, Dial-A-Jets, cold air kit, clutching, pipes, wide front end kit, brighter headlight, 2" bar riser, Kimpex gas shocks, additional grease fittings on the suspension arms... Just ham and eggs, but what an improvement!
 
Sounds like heaven to me, please share all the improvements you can remember in the file archive:)
