2000 sx700r, going to try and change helix and weights per manys advise on here, sled is stock with reed spacers, installing 51/43 factory helix, and 4.5 gram on inner, do I need to mess or change shims at all ? Or would this need to be done if sled not modded ? Thanks, Im brand new to this. Anything else Im missing ?
Suppose it depends on what type of shims you are asking about? Engagement shims could be used if your Engagement rpms are a touch low.
But as far as secondary shims, I believe the only reason those would be changed is if you were going to a different width belt.
Im sure some of the clutching guru's will chime in and give you more input.
Post some pics of your sled.......we love pics!

I looked in the user set-ups for a 2000 SX7R. Dick Johnson didn't have any in his set up. Turk didn't have any either, but his set up was w/ Bender pipes.
