I am in need of replacing the factory track on my 99 700XTC, have been looking at the predator track for the type of riding i do, Ice, ditch banging some off trail. Is going to a 1.25 track worth the effort of changing drive cogs? how much more traction does the 1.25 have off trail? I will be studding so...

on the XTC here there are no protectors,no notching to do.Drivers 9 and it is geared down from factory.Thing moves out pretty good, especially with the triple pipes and when it hooks up..gives my SRX fits on launch but will pass him shortly after a hard run.Stay away from the 1.25 ripsaw.Had one, they are horrible and break a lot of their lugs easily.Try a Kimpex Ultimate Traxtion 1"..you will love it and it is durable to boot.

I'll second that. And seeings that you run ice, you'll appreciate the durability of the cords that are spread for the 144 studing holes during the curing process.

I kinda wish Kimpex would make the Traxtion track in a 1.25 lug..

yup I couldnt believe the traction i get with that 1.5 track lol I hit past 180 kmh on my speedo still ;)! With the triple pipes of course she only did 160ish before that
