Went for my first ride on the new 780 today, still breaking it in but wow!! It pulls for days it seems. Skis just off the ground past 75 mph, feels great. Only thing is damn those 38s pull hard on the thumb lol.i would and will recommend dons work to any one looking for motor work.

If you put a thick rubber band on your flipper it will take some of the tension off. Sounds like a fun ride. We do have some talented people on this site.

Don did the 780 bore up ?, and you paid 1300 with pistons, rings and bolts. Any port job done, carb bores ?

thats a long story on that 780 kit...., basicly someone put down a deposit on it and couldnt come thru for the rest of the cost after almost 12 months of waiting he bailed on it, so.... I sold it for the remaining cost of the kit.

I cant sell 780 kits for $1300, they cost almost that much to make. I supply all the cores(3 cylinders, 3 heads) so mine are a complete kit you keep your entire 700 topend, not trade it in like others who do 780 kits.
