Pulling the sled sideways a little in my truck bed and it came right off. At least it didnt' happen on the trail earler in the evening. Grip is shot... notice the last inch is cracked. It has the heater element in it... can you buy new grips to match this??

Bought some Goop glue... had a high temp rating (those grips can get hot!) and says it bonds for life!! Good for -20 to 150 defrees F

I had the same problem only it was my throttle side grip that came off when I was riding it. I landed a small jump awkwardly and off I went with the grip. I could not figure out how to get the new grip to go over the set screw in the bars, however. Now I have to get a new throttle block anyhow as I busted up my sled a bit (see Photo section), so it looks like my BRAND NEW grip will be coming off. Anyone know how to get the grip over that hole and into place without breaking the grip all apart?

How does a grip come off thats riveted on? Whether its glued or not? That thing does have a set screw it should be a rivet. You can glue it with 5 min epoxy and rivet it or if you want to be prim and proper you can go to any bike shop and they sell grip adhesive. When you try to take your new one off remove the rivet and wrap your hand around it with a leather glove and twist it. If that doesn't work, you can do it the old fashioned way by heating it up good and hot and then twisting it. If that doesn't work then wreck it, I have new Yammie ones. If you need to heat it, just hook the 2 leads to a battery, it gets hot quick so be careful, get it too hot and it will just fall apart in your hands. Thats how we used to get the old ones off and save them......

Set Screw? Sounds like someone replaced that grip already. should be a rivet near the throttle.

I got mine all back together yesterday. Used a two-part epoxy and put a new rivet in. Good to go!

Mine had a set screw but somehow the grip ripped right through it. That is one tiny rivet, I'll see if I can't find one similar to it around and try putting a new one in.
