97 vmax 700 gearing suggestions?

Im looking for more power off the bottom and was wondering what the stock top sprocket was and If I could drop 1 or 2 teeth without changing anything else (clutch).
 
sure, drop 1 tooth will make it take off more aggressive, when you change the gear ratio the clutching will change slightly due to a differance in the loading of the engine, it might slightly over rev with 1 tooth smaller, depends on how dialed in your clutching is...

I was thinking that my 1.35 track would counteract this over rev anyways. Do you know how many teeth there are stock?

not much of anything noticeable really. just to update on this thread after experimenting with 9t drivers 23/40 and 21/40 as well as 8t drivers 23/40 and 21/40. My current setup and favourite is the 8t drivers and stock 23/40 gearing
 
i dropped a tooth up top when i stretched mine and it helped off the line but it did rev up to 9000 full throttle. No idea how it affected top speed since i never can find a nice straight away.
