01 SRX said:Could this be anything to do with the TORS carb switch? I noticed that it wasn't connected to the screw when I was putting things back together last night. I got it to go back together and tightened it down to the point that the nut hit the mounting bracket. Wasn't sure what this was last night, but just read in the tech pages how to clean it. It said to count the turns when removing it, so I'm guessing that there is an adjustment. would an out of adjustment issue cause this?
Doubtful tors, Is your tors lighting up? you can bypass to rule it out. Plug the 2 ends from harness into each other. IF you leave it this way it may cause problems down the road (run away sled)

My buddies Ultra was 113 on two and 92 on one. Started intermittently missing last year and it was worse at idle. Threw a used jug and rings at it and the problem went away.
As mentioned, maybe your to low on one and it's time for rings?

Ok. Found that the center pipe was plugged with leaves and gunk (maybe a mouse nest) cleared that. Makes me feel a little better about cold pipe. Warming up now. Also, disconnected the TORS and problem gone! By the way before the Pipe problem was found the TORS fixed the problem. Now it runs awesome. What can I do to fix the TORS? When I plug it back in it does it all over again even with the pipe unobstructed.

Thats 21 lbs way different scenario than 5lbs, and cylinder that was down to 95 was the mag, missifring center cylinder was 100 just like pto.
As for as tors I got nothing...some guys by pass and run a tether.

Thanks guys. I think I got a great running sled now minus the TORS. I guess I'll bypass for now and look into finding out more this summer.
They're calling for something like 10 plus inches between Thursday and Friday morning in the northern part of the state. I can't wait to get this thing up there this weekend and ride! Again, thanks for all the help.

I'd suggest searching keyword "TORS". You may find your throttle cable too tight and the cause of it all. I think Fourbarrel had a write up about dis-assembling and repairing the switches.
Although not as common (before flatslides and E-10 fuel) carb icing due to water in fuel/snow injestion and cable fraying were the reasons for TORS and I'd highly recommend fixing it before summer.
You'll be thinking more clearly once you get the first ride under your belt. Good luck.

Near Lakes of the North. A friend of mine has thousands of acres that we're going to ride on for the weekend until I know all is good with the machine. If all checks out I'll buy my registration and trail permit and really ride.

Why are you on the site instead of out riding? My friend has been plowing snow all day up there! If I was up there I sure wouldn't be on the site right now. We may not have many chances to do this the way it's been going.
