I went to buy some ice scratchers for my 97 VMAX 600 XTC but was told there are two sizes of shaft, 20 or 25mm I believe and that I need the right size for the scratcher coil to fit over.....anyone know for sure?

Thanks

Where are you mounting them and how? Are you using the second boggie on the rail and using the adapters to be able to keep the wheel? If so its the bearing size your after not shaft (not sure what they meant by that). If running the boggie wheel with the adapter you will be removing the plastic spacers and running the 25MM adapter. What kind are you getting?

Naively I didn't ask when the dealer through that question at me (20mm or 25mm); I don't know a thing about how scratchers are mounted... I ask some more questions; thanks.

remove second idler wheels, use same bolt along with the bushing.Drill a small hole in rail where the scratcher coiled end point will go through.I kept my idlers on and just installed scratcher behind them using bushing that comes with them,a few washers and your done.Have this for a few seasons already and no issues.
