Tempa flow install and stories "FYI" "long"

There are different base weights, I have 48.2gram base weights, and have them loaded about as heavy as I can get.

My clutch kit was a Mega Power kit so I'm not sure what he sent it with. I was told stock were 50 gram weighs?

Dogger,
I installed the tempaflow vented into the airbox below the shelf with your jetting specs and I was running rich with way less power than I know this setup should make (7mpg). Do you think it could be a bad tempaflow unit? I'm thinking about just jetting down and removing the tempaflow.

Here's the specs I used:
Mains - 165, 165, 167.5
Needles - 3.5, 4, 4
Pilots - 45, 45, 47.5
Fuel Screws - all 2 1/4 turns out

I'm going down to 160,160,162.5

sniper,
do you have 2-3 feet of line coming from the carb top to the unit (vac source)? Also did you use the aluminum nipple that they supply with the kit? If you didn't use the nipple they supply, it won't work right if it's more restrictive than the aluminum one.
;):D

jetting a viper to the air box is by far the easiest way to burn it down you guys need to unplug the vent lines like on a stock srx!stock srxs dont burn down and guess what they have tripple pipes.you also need to either add another head gasket or even the compression out via hauck head mod.i should know i had 7000 miles on my piped viper when i got rid of it.lastly you need too clutch it to turn 9100-9300 on tach.with this set up you can hold the throttle open as long as you like.jetting is as follows 150 straight across 1.2 air jet needle in stock postion 50 piolt.deviate from this and i can gurantee you will burn down!!!!you can run this set up to 20 below zero no problems.it really is that easy!

what about the PORKER RUN?

i ride in the midwest and have also been to wyoming with my piped viper.its just too easy to set up for pipes but alot of people still try to run that hose to the air box.that is so wrong!that set up i posted early will work on all piped set ups .the motor does not know the brand of pipes on it also that is a safe set up because its easy on the advace curve of timming.
