where would i mount the cdi and coil since i removed the air box?

The coils can be mounted on bracket above the carbs. I used one from a newer sled that mounted them there, like a 2001 or newer. For the Cdi I rewired the harness so I mount it behind the left side footwell, also like the 2001 and newer sleds. That was a lot of work, but I wanted a stock look. You could make a bracket to mount in about the same place that is now, so you don't have lengthen the wiring harness.
