my dad just put nytro skis on his.(unsure of the year) it lowered the front maybe 1/2" or so. but he got em for 50 bucks.
I bought some Apex skis for my '99 700 but haven't installed them because I don't want my sled to be any lower. I don't think they would lower a newer (00-01+) sled as much because the saddles are a bit shorter on them already.
They bolt right on.
I used plastic skis off a Viper on my 97sx. Kept the front end height the same.
