First off, you're clutch needs to be cleaned and inspected with bushings, sliders, rollers, etc. Sheaves and belt need to be cleaned as well. Second, your clutch alignment is off and needs to be adjusted. Belt should sit between 1.5 mm above secondary sheeve and 0.5 mm below. Go thru both clutches thoroughly. Once you have done that, buy a new OEM sheave. Those cracks could get worse and grenade your entire clutch when you are going 100 mph (8,500 RPM). Do the math on the carnage.

It was just cleaned it before the season but I blew two belts recently after installing a clutch kit, and they blew hard! thats why its so dirty.
I decided to put it back to stock for the time being and while I was doing that I noticed the cracked sheaves, the rollers, slides are perfect.
The belt sits perfect on the secondary I'm not going to bother replacing the sheaves because both are cracked. I already have a few leads on used clutches which will be cheaper that getting two new sheaves.
And it's on a rx1 so it will be going 10250rpm lol! That would go right through the hood.
Thanks everyone for the input

definately fix it, my brother had a clutch that blew up on his zr440 at 90 mph, hood was destroyed, bellypan destroyed, crank twisted, he ended up getting like 40 some stiches, weights went through his foot like a bullet, definately something you want to avoid

Ive posted pics below. I've never seen any clutch with marks like that, is this a potential problem? Will it eventually crack all the way?
Also, do these slide thingys have to be replaced?
3 Reasons why NOT to run a clutch with a cracked sheave
#1 Its dangerous as hell
#2 It can put holes in ride and make it look ugly
#3 It can bend your crankshaft
Oh did i mention it can bend your crankshaft, ya it can about 60 thousands outa whack [DANG] thats gonna hurt to.
Gonna tear it down today.

I took the clutch off a few days ago, I havnt had time the look for clutches yet.
With 19,000 on the clutch I'm not interested in replacing both sheaves
So I'll find a used one. There are a few places I can get used clutches here.
Thanks again everyone

anyone know where I may find used clutch/parts etc for a 2002 sx viper around the GTA area?
Art's Sled Shop in Stouffville 905-640-8274 or ebay and have them ship from the states. I bought an entire new clutch from ebay (except for spider cover) for $165 shipped.
Do your homework and good luck.

Cracked sheave =

1 used secondary outer sheave (got bent) $45
1 used pto end shaft installed by midwest crankshaft $200
Shipping $20
Total $445 OUCH, thank god the labor was free
