94 venture strut lift to newer one question

hey guys
i read a thread about somebody here installed diffrent struts on a older venture or phazer to lift it higher can some body tell me what year strut to use so i wont buy the wrong ones thanks
 
The front Struts from the 1994-96 Vmax 5-600cc sleds will give you 2" more travel ! You need the longer shock covers, springs and aluminum knuckles along with the struts. You can find them fairly reasonable on E-bay, any parts forum or salvage yards ! I bought a set of brand new(rare) Genuine Yamaha GYT Kit struts off of E-bay that were an upgrade for the Vmax 5-600 sleds with adjustable dampening, rebound and slightly longer travel for $75.00 ! Yamaha part # SMA-8CA91-10-00

thanks guys for the info i will look into my opctions for my front end , my struts has some pits also in the shaft
